This weekend will be the start of a new chapter in lots of university students' lives. They may be living away from home for the first time and feeling happy, emotional or a little scared of not having the continuous security of family. The bank of mum and dad always comes in handy when the student loan or summer wages have started to shrink.
They may be moving to a city they have not been to before where they do not know anyone.
I remember my time at university was generally a happy one. I didn't live too far away from home, so was able to have regular home cooking. I made lots of friends and did get a good education of life: how to be independent, time management and budgeting. However, I did struggle in my second year, although, I managed to see that I had nearly finished the marathon and got the academic support I needed.
I wish all new and returning university students a happy, stress free year and educational year.
The young shall grow!
