Family

What is family? Is it a blood relative?A family member by marriage? A close family friend? Someone who has been there for you through thick and thin?

This weekend I will be spending a few days with family – we are not blood related but have been with me through the good and bad times. We have laughed and cried together and this weekend we will be celebrating two birthdays and one of them is a milestone one.

Family are those people who are in your life to give you support, guidance, love and respect through you best and worst times. They are generally your loudest cheerleaders and understand your silly jokes and when you need alone time.

Family are those who take time to spend time with you and show you as well as tell you that they love you.

Family in whatever shape or form is one of life’s luxuries.
