In this month of February our household will have an extra adult sharing our quarters.
That soon to be adult has already been living with us for over 17 years and occasionally grunts and eats us out of house and home.
The soon to be adult used to have to use a stool to gain access to breakfast cereal, now they just stretch their long arms and tower over the other adults on the house.
The near 18 years of watching this young adult grow has been a privilege. They are polite, funny, helpful, capable, intelligent and friendly.
Wishing the little, big man of the house a happy 18th birthday. Onwards and upwards.
