It has been a few months since I have been in contact with family members across the pond. They have been busy moving into their new home and I have been busy, being busy. So, when we had an opportunity to catch up, it was a 2 and a quarter hour conversation, talking to three of the oldest children and mum and dad. There was a lot to catch up on and it was really nice to reconnect, talk, laugh and get some advice. Family members are now in all corners of the world and keeping up with them can be difficult due to different time zones and life in general. But when you do, the conversations flow freely and the feeling of being part of a family is a nice feeling. Keeping those family relationships going is very important, as, blood is sometimes thicker than water.
