Thank you

National Thank You day is on Sunday 15th September. A day to say and show appreciation to those people who have helped you in some way. Thank you for many people is a hard word to say, it is like they only have a limited lifetime supply.

Showing gratitude is the simplest, most powerful way to acknowledge another person’s value and humanity.

If you know if someone who finds it difficult to use two of the most powerful words invented, let them know they can also use the following:

I appreciate it more than you will ever know. You are great.

I owe you one.

I appreciate it.

You’re too kind.

You’re a life saver.

You saved the day.

I’m grateful for your assistance.

I do not know what I would do without you. Being shown that you are appreciated has a very positive impact on our mental health and well being. We are more likely to do more for that person and be in a happier mood once we are shown or told that we are appreciated. If the whole world were able to do this for one day, and longer, how much safer, peaceful and happier people would be. Thank you!
