With so much going on in the world – the uncertainty, the constant barrage of news, a little good, mostly bad; sometimes it takes a little self reflection to see that a lot of us have something to be grateful for. Whether it be having fresh water to bathe in and to drink, having a bed to sleep on, regular food to eat, being able to buy our favourite chocolate, the list goes on. The following poem sums what I am grateful for nicely.
Gratitude
Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life.
It turns what we have into enough, and more.
It turns denial into acceptance.
It turns chaos to order.
It turns confusion to clarity.
It can turn a meal into a feast.
It can turn a house into a home.
It can turn a stranger into a friend.
Gratitude makes sense of our past, brings peace for today
and creates a vision for tomorrow .
